As we close another incredible school year, our hearts are full of gratitude.

Last night, we celebrated our SJS All Sports Ceremony, honoring our Eagle athletes and recognizing the dedication, sportsmanship, perseverance, and teamwork they displayed throughout the year. We extend our sincere thanks to our athletes, parents, and volunteer coaches whose time, commitment, and support make our athletic programs possible. School sports are about so much more than competition—they help build confidence, character, leadership, friendships, and school spirit. Together, you help make our Eagle community so special.

A special congratulations to this year's Saint Sebastian Award recipients. Named for the Patron Saint of Athletes, this award recognizes student-athletes who lead by example, demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship, embody Christian values, and positively influence their teammates both on and off the field.

We also proudly recognized the recipient of the Coach Michael Murphy Legacy Award. Established in memory of Coach Michael J. Murphy, whose dedication to Saint Joseph School spanned more than four decades, this award honors an athlete who exemplifies hard work, humility, leadership, service, and pride in representing Saint Joseph School. Coach Murphy's impact continues to inspire generations of Eagles.

Today, we gathered as a school family for our Last Day of School Mass, a beautiful and meaningful way to reflect on the blessings of this year and celebrate all that we have accomplished together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this school year such a success. We wish all of our Eagle families a wonderful, relaxing, and safe summer filled with joy, rest, and special memories.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Eagles back to the nest this fall!

Today we celebrate a very special milestone for our pastor, Father Gregory Stowe, as he marks 20 years of priesthood.

For two decades, Father Stowe has faithfully answered God’s call, serving others with humility, compassion, humor, and an unwavering commitment to Christ. Whether he is celebrating Mass, visiting the sick, supporting families through life’s joys and challenges, teaching our students, or simply stopping to listen when someone needs a friend, Father has a remarkable way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved.

His impact on our parish and school community extends far beyond the altar. He has baptized our children, prepared them for the sacraments, celebrated marriages, offered comfort during times of loss, and walked alongside countless people on their faith journeys. Through it all, he remains approachable, genuine, and deeply devoted to the people entrusted to his care.

As we celebrate this anniversary, we thank God for Father Stowe’s vocation and for the many ways he has shared Christ’s love with our community over the past twenty years. We are incredibly blessed to call him our pastor, our spiritual leader, and our friend.

Please join us in congratulating Father Stowe on this extraordinary milestone and in praying that God continues to bless him with good health, happiness, and many more years of faithful ministry.

Congratulations, Father Stowe, on 20 years of priesthood! ✝️💙🙏🏻

🦅✨ Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle ✨🦅

Yesterday, we were honored to welcome back some of our Saint Joseph School alumni as they completed their final walk-through before graduating from West Warwick High School.

As they walked our halls one last time, memories came flooding back...classroom celebrations, recess games, school Masses, friendships, and all the moments that helped shape them into the young adults they are today.

While they may now be Wizards, they will always be Eagles in our hearts. Watching them return reminds us of the incredible journey that begins here and the bright futures that await our students beyond these walls.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and grateful that Saint Joseph School was part of your story. May God continue to guide your steps as you begin this next chapter.

💙💛 Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. Fly high, graduates! 🦅🎓 🧡🖤

Today was a day full of tradition, memories, faith, and fun for the SJS Class of 2026. 💙🦅💛

The day began with their annual 8th Grade religious Retreat, a time-honored SJS tradition that serves as such a meaningful culmination of their years here. Through team building, reflection, laughter, and prayer, our students spent the day celebrating the friendships and bonds they have built together over the years. They also celebrated one last Mass together as a class before graduation, making the day even more special and memorable.

And then came one of the traditions they’ve waited years for… the annual Water Balloon Fight! The Class of 2026 absolutely battled it out and had the best time doing it.

One of the sweetest parts of this tradition is watching our younger students eagerly collect the broken balloon pieces afterward, already dreaming about the day when it will finally be their turn as the graduating class. It’s one of those full-circle SJS moments that makes these traditions so meaningful year after year.

Between the retreat and the water balloon fight, today was a beautiful reminder of what makes SJS so special, faith, friendship, tradition, and the pure joy of simply being kids. No phones. No internet. Just being outside together, laughing, making memories, and soaking in these final moments as classmates.

As these Eagles prepare to fly the nest, we cherish the traditions that have shaped them and the memories that will stay with them forever. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. 🦅

Our school year may be winding down and summer is almost here, but we are still making memories at SJS!

Today, our 1st and 2nd graders headed to the zoo for an unforgettable field trip adventure! The weather was absolutely beautiful and the perfect day for walking through the zoo, exploring, learning, and seeing all the amazing animals.

From big smiles to lots of laughs, it was a day full of fun, excitement, and happy memories!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and love for others are gifts we can never fully repay.

At Saint Joseph School, we pray for all who have served, for the families who carry both pride and loss, and for a world rooted in peace, compassion, and gratitude.

As we enjoy time with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also pause to remember those who made those moments possible through their sacrifice. 🇺🇸

There is so much excitement happening in Mrs. O’Dea’s PreK 3 classroom at Saint Joseph School!

Each year, our PreK 3 students get the AMAZING opportunity to witness a life cycle firsthand through the hatching and care of baby chicks. This year, the class has been patiently caring for and observing 12 eggs, 6 Dominique and 6 Australorp, as they grow inside the incubator over a three-week period.

Since we can’t actually see inside the eggs, the students have been using special “discovery eggs” to learn about the different stages of growth happening each day. The class also created their own “Countdown to Chick” chart and eagerly counted down all 21 days leading up to hatch day! Every day, a special “egg cracker” got to open a discovery egg and help update the classroom chart.

And now… the moment they have all been waiting for has finally arrived, our very first baby chick has hatched! 🐥 The excitement, smiles, cheering, and pure wonder in the classroom today were absolutely priceless.

This experience is such a beautiful example of Reggio Emilia-inspired learning, hands-on exploration, curiosity, teamwork, observation, patience, and learning through real-life experiences. Moments like these create memories our students will never forget.

We still have more eggs getting ready to hatch, and the children cannot wait to meet the rest of their fluffy new friends… and of course help name them too!
