Coalition for a Multilingual RI A coalition dedicated to creating a culturally sustaining educational environment where RI students learn in multiple languages.

The Rhode Island Roadmap to Language Excellence is the sixth in the history of the “Roadmap to National Language Excellence” federal initiative launched by the National Security Education Program’s The Language Flagship in 2007. Our goal as stated in our strategic vision is, "The State of Rhode Island strives to create a multilingual, culturally savvy, globally competent Rhode Island community and workforce by creating well articulated language learning programs emphasizing proficiency and biliteracy. By 2030, the majority of Rhode Island graduates will be proficient in English and at least one other language."
