Even teachers need field trips every now and again! We loved spending our day up Millcreek Canyon, and we love even more that our Eagles are coming back to school next week! We will see you on Monday from 5-6 for back to school night, and then on Wednesday for the first day of school.

We love Coach C! Congrats to her on this recognition for the great work she does.

This week's Beehive Meals hero of the week is Chelsea Cavitt 🐝

"Coach C is an amazing PE Teacher at Vista Elementary in Taylorsville. She teaches the students so many different games and skills for physical fitness. They love the games that she teaches, and they even play those games during recess. During their mile run last year, she would draw part of a smiley face on the students' hand each time they completed a lap. This encouraged the kids to keep running, because they were excited to get their smiley face completed. My son excitedly showed me the smiley face on his hand at the end of the school day. Instead of complaining that he had to run, he was pumped to show me how much he accomplished. She also did a running club for our 4th + 5th graders this past fall, and the kids really enjoyed it. It was fun to watch the kids compete, and it brought a sense of belonging to the students at our school. She is always cheerful with a ready smile for all who cross her path. She deserves recognition for the awesome energy and positivity she brings to our PE program."

We would like to welcome Miss Melanie Roybal to Armstrong! She will be our assistant principal this year. We are so excited to have her join us and to learn from her leadership and experience.

Hello Armstrong - please be patient with FOCUS as you try to process your student(s) re-enrollment. You do not have to have re-enrollment completed today. They system is experiencing a high volume of traffic and it is causing a slow down for everyone. Please continue to try over the weekend and Monday. If you are still having trouble by Tuesday, please call the office. We are excited to have our Eagles back at Armstrong and appreciate your patience with the hiccups in the online system.
