Iqra 10th to 12th graders: Aroosh, Sara, Ansharah, and Raiha participated in different HOSA workshops. They spent the event soaking up new skills and getting a real look at what it’s like to work in healthcare.
The highlight was definitely when Raiha stepped up to show off her research poster—she did a fantastic job explaining her project: How Does Exposure to Chronic Hypobaric Hypoxia Influence Depression

The state of Utah uses a platform called "Odyssey" to manage the applications and the wallet for the funds.

• Note for parents: The application window for the 2026-2027 school year is currently open and closes on April 30, 2026.

Gather three things immediately before clicking the application link:

1. Their 2025 1040 Tax Form
Parents will be required to upload a document that can be used to verify the student's identity. This document will not be shared with any other entity and will only be used for internal auditing procedures. Acceptable documents include:

Birth Certificate
Government ID
Any other document that can be used to verify the student’s identity

Residency Documentation:

Parents must upload documentation to verify their primary residence is the state of Utah. Eligible documents must be dated within the current calendar year and include the name and address provided during the application. Eligible documents are as follows:

Utility Bill
Mortgage Statement
Lease Agreement
Property Tax Records
Bill of House Sale
