⚠️ SUMMER EXPRESS UPDATE ⚠️

Due to inclement weather and ongoing storm recovery efforts, Summer Express will be CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22.

Summer Express, a partnership between the Doddridge County Board of Education and the Doddridge County Extension Service, will wrap up another successful season this Friday after providing a safe, engaging, and educational summer experience for more than 30 local children.

Throughout the summer, children participated in fun, enriching activities led by college-bound mentors who served as positive role models and learning facilitators. Students also received targeted reading and math instruction from specialists, helping them sharpen critical skills and stay academically engaged during the break from school. This program was designed to combat summer learning loss while creating fun opportunities for children to build friendships, develop confidence, and enjoy meaningful experiences.

Due to the projected weather forecast, Day 1 of Cloverbud Camp, scheduled for today, July 21, has been canceled.

We are hopeful that weather conditions will improve and plan to resume camp as scheduled tomorrow at the park. If there are any additional changes, we will notify families as soon as possible.

Due to the projected weather forecast, the Summer Express Program will dismiss early today, Tuesday, July 21, at 12:30 PM.

Please arrange for your child to be picked up by 12:30 PM. The safety of our participants and staff is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
