🌟 FAMILY FOCUS FRIDAY: COMMUNITY RESOURCE SPOTLIGHT 🌟

💚 Feed My Lambs Food Pantry 💛

Since 1990, Feed My Lambs Food Pantry has faithfully served individuals and families in need throughout our community. Under the leadership of Director Kim Moore, with Jeremiah Richards overseeing the program, their impact continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many.

📊 The impact speaks for itself!

During the 2025–2026 pantry year alone, Feed My Lambs distributed more than 269,000 pounds of food, serving 11,314 families and more than 25,000 individuals, including nearly 8,000 children! What an incredible commitment to helping ensure families have access to nutritious food. 💚

For the past year, our Holistic Child Department has been proud to partner with Feed My Lambs to provide monthly food giveaways. These distributions help our families access pantry staples, fresh produce, nutritious snacks, and other essential items.

In addition to this partnership, Feed My Lambs opens its Central Station pantry one Saturday each month and collaborates with other organizations to reach even more individuals and families throughout our community.

This important work is made possible by the dedication of Kim and Jeremiah, board members Robert Swiger, Sarah Britton, Joni Darlington, and Cindy Richards, and the many volunteers and supporters who give their time and energy to serve others. We are so grateful for each person who helps make this mission possible! 🙌

From mountains and wildlife to the symbols and stories of Almost Heaven, our DCES students have transformed their lessons about West Virginia into an incredible celebration of creativity, learning, and Mountain State pride.

But this is about more than art.

It’s about students discovering their talents, teachers inspiring possibilities, and the experiences that make public education special.

DC Schools is proud to partner with Wilson Martino Dental and The Smile Defenders to make dental care more convenient and accessible for our students and families!

Behind every student schedule is a plan for what comes next. At Doddridge County High School, counselor Kyra Burnett works with students to build personalized pathways around their goals, interests, graduation requirements, and future plans.

DC Schools was proud to recognize Hall Drilling as a Top Dog Community Champion — Making Moments Matter!

Hall Drilling continues to demonstrate the power of community partnership by investing in opportunities for our students. Most recently, they generously committed funding to provide pumpkins for students participating in both the DC Schools Pumpkin Drop and the Morgantown Pumpkin Drop.

Their support helps turn classroom learning into memorable, hands-on experiences where students can create, problem-solve, and put their skills into action.

We were honored to present Hall Drilling with a Top Dog Coin in appreciation of their continued partnership and commitment to our students.
