It feels like the right time to share a little update: We're getting ready to welcome our founding learners!

Starting a school from the ground up has been one of the most exciting—and humbling—journeys we've ever taken. There have been moments of great encouragement, moments of uncertainty, and countless conversations with families who have helped shape what Hilltop Academy is becoming.

Today, we're excited to be moving Hilltop Academy into its founding school year and are deeply grateful for everyone who has helped bring us to this point.

We're also grateful to our Board of Trustees, our families, our community, and everyone who has believed in this vision from the beginning. Hilltop Academy has always been about building something together.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more about what learning at Hilltop will look like, introducing some of the people behind our school, and giving you a closer look at the community we're building.

There are classrooms... and then there are learning spaces like this. 🌿

What if a walk through the woods was part of the school day?

Picture learners wandering along this trail, noticing things they hadn’t seen before, asking questions, reading under the trees, or simply taking a quiet moment to think.

This is Tara preparing one of the hands-on activities from our recent Discover Hilltop event. Experiences like these are part of what we’re creating at Hilltop — opportunities for learners to explore, create, and make connections with the world around them.

Some of the best learning happens when children have the time and space to wonder.

That’s one of the things we love about this place.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday to discover Hilltop Academy.

🌿It was wonderful to see children exploring, creating, experimenting, telling stories, making new friends, and simply enjoying the afternoon. We loved welcoming new neighbors, reconnecting with familiar faces, and sharing a glimpse of what learning at Hilltop can look like.

Thank you to our incredible Board of Trustees, volunteers, and families who helped make the day so special. We couldn't have done it without you. 💚💛

If you weren't able to join us, we'd still love to meet you. Enrollment is open for Kindergarten through Grade 7, and we're happy to schedule a personal visit.

🌿 Every great learning experience begins with curiosity.

It's been a little while since our last post. We've been busy—good busy—and loving every minute of it! 😊

Over the past few weeks, we've been meeting with families and learners through one-to-one information sessions, continuing enrollment conversations, preparing our learning space, and planning for an amazing first year ahead.

One exciting update is that, because of interest from families, Hilltop Academy will now welcome learners in Kindergarten through Grade 7 this fall!

We're also thrilled to be welcoming our founding learners and their families and watching our community of Hilltop Heroes begin to take shape. It is so much fun building a school community from the very beginning! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has reached out, asked thoughtful questions, shared our mission, and been part of this adventure.

If you've been curious about Hilltop Academy, we'd love to connect with you! We're continuing to offer one-to-one information sessions, both in person and virtually, throughout the summer. It's a relaxed opportunity to learn more about our program, ask questions, and see whether Hilltop might be the right fit for your family.
