A little patch of woods is becoming part of our classroom. 🌿
We've explored it. Cleaned it up. Built a bridge across a muddy crossing. Climbed and balanced and gotten our boots very, very dirty.
And we mapped it.
Our learners studied the places that had become familiar—the entrance, the trail, our bridge, the vernal stream and pond—and figured out how to represent what they knew on paper.
And the trail keeps changing.
The vernal stream filled with water and then disappeared again. When it dried, the mud revealed something new to investigate—animal tracks. 🐾
Little by little, this tiny trail has become more than a path through the woods.
It's become a place to explore, create, notice, play, and learn. 💚
