My name is Marla Greenberg and I’m excited to announce my candidacy for the West Seneca School Board. I live in West Seneca with my husband and our son, who is an elementary school student in the district. I earned my BA from the University of Buffalo and my law degree from the Howard University School of Law.
I am an attorney who has spent my career working in the financial services sector, in several federal agencies, and in both houses of Congress, including on the United States Senate Finance Committee.
Teachers are the backbone of our school system. Ensuring financial and budgetary transparency is critical to the success of our district — for our teachers, our students, and our community as a whole. If elected, that will be my number one priority.
My work in the financial sector has also given me insight into the importance of using technology responsibly. As parents, we must help our children understand how to use technology to further their education and connection with others, while keeping them safe. I will help students thrive through responsible use of technology by equipping our schools and teachers with the tools to leverage age-appropriate technology.
As a School Board Member, I will ensure teachers and students have the resources they need for success in education.
