Important Update Regarding the WISH Center

Dear Wisconsin Educators,

It is with great sadness that we share that the WISH Center will be dissolved as of June 2026, following a decision made by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the CESA Statewide Network of Administrators.

We know this news may bring questions, uncertainty, and concern, especially as you plan for the upcoming school year and the important work you lead in your schools and communities. Please know that through the end of the 2025–2026 school year, all current trainings and supports will continue as planned. We are not scheduling trainings for 2026–2027.

We wish we had more clarity to offer at this moment, and we will continue to communicate updates as we are able in our final newsletters. We encourage you to download any WISH Center resources you currently use from our website (wishschools.org) while they remain available.

Please feel free to contact any WISH team member for additional information or support as you close out current projects or trainings.

It has been a profound honor to support thousands of educators across Wisconsin. Your unwavering commitment to student well-being, safe and supportive learning environments, and continuous growth has been the heartbeat of this work. We are deeply grateful to have been part of it alongside you.

With appreciation,

The WISH Center Team

🔦This week's Pre-Conference Spotlight is Trauma-Informed Leadership in Action with Dr. Marci Waldron-Kuhn.

Participants will examine how trauma-informed leadership fosters a school culture that prioritizes safety, relationships, and emotional regulation for both students and staff. By embedding SEL competencies into leadership practices, educators can enhance student engagement, well-being, and academic success. The session will also highlight evidence-based strategies such as restorative practices, co-regulation techniques, and resilience-building frameworks to support school-wide transformation. Leaders will gain practical tools to implement trauma-sensitive approaches that align with systemic supports for equity and inclusion.
