Hey Northwestern Alumni & Friends!!

We are looking to get our alumni involved in meaningful ways across the community. We already have alumni donating money to our scholarship fund and attending our banquet, but now it’s time to really get back to serving the community that made us who we are!

The Northwestern Alumni & Friends Association is proud to start offering SERVICE opportunities for ALL ALUMNI and their friends and family members to get involved in and give back to our community.

FIRST UP!! Let’s help sling some hot dogs, serve some pop corn, and give out some smiles at the GIRLS SOFTBALL AND BOYS BASEBALL GAMES this coming Saturday, April 18th at the Northwestern Softball/Baseball Complex.

We already have members of the alumni committee signed up to help, now we are looking for YOU to help fill the rest of the slots! It’s just a very small way we start to get involved.

It’s also YOUTH DAY for the baseball team, so it should be a busy, beautiful day full of young Huskies and their families! So let’s show up and help out for a couple hours, alumni!

2026 Annual Northwestern Alumni Hall of Fame and Community Hall of Honor Induction Weekend

The Northwestern Alumni and Friends Association cordially invites you to attend the annual banquet on Saturday, August 29th at Northwestern High School! Doors open at 3:00p.m. Induction ceremony at 3:30. Dinner at 7:00.

Join us for a night to remember with people you’ll never forget! The evening’s festivities will include the induction, a social hour, dinner, an after dinner program, and a memorabilia corner sure to make you wax nostalgic!

NHS Classes of 1956, 1966, and 1976

Northwestern All Sports has six time slots left to fill in their Coke booths at the fair - with seven booths and 150 time slots to fill, it takes a village! This message goes out to the Northwestern alumni and the West Salem Community. My name is Stan Firebaugh and I am asking for your help for a personal friend and a longstanding member of the community. His name is Wayne Smith.

Wayne has lived almost his whole life in West Salem. He graduated from Northwestern where he played football. His dad ran a business for many years in the community that Wayne eventually took over. Wayne has developed some serious health issues which is why we are hoping to rally classmates and the community for support.

There was probably 40-50 of us fellow football players as well as classmates and others who know Wayne. If any of you would be willing to contibute monetarily towards his medical bills that have been incurred it would be greatly appreciated.

Election Day is only a few days away! Don’t forget that a vote AGAINST the proposed income tax repeal is a vote in SUPPORT of our schools this year.

The Northwestern Alumni & Friends Association encourages you to have these last minute conversations with your friends and family in our district who may not be aware of the proposal and/or the ballot wording.

Together we can help keep Northwestern moving forward towards a great future!

Vote NO on the proposed income tax repeal to support Northwestern Local Schools this November!

The proposed repeal of our school district income tax that will be on your ballot this November would be detrimental to the district on every level, resulting in the immediate loss of crucial funds beginning in January 2025. Our students will feel this impact through the loss of programs and opportunities. Our friends and family members could lose their jobs. The impact of a repeal such of this will thwart any positive forward momentum gained in the past couple of years relative to necessary changes, curriculum shifts, intensive efforts with literacy, and so much more.

The Northwestern Alumni & Friends Association proudly supports a NO vote on the proposed income tax repeal in SUPPORT of Northwestern Local Schools.

Our students. Our teachers. Our staff. Our community. Together we will show our support for all by voting NO on the repeal issue this November.

Please help spread the word to your neighbors who perhaps have not heard about the upcoming ballot issue!
