Hello and Welcome to Dawnie's Drop In! The childcare service geared towards SAHM's that could just use a break. Whether you want to clean your house without your littles messing it up just as fast you clean it, want to take a nap, shop in peace or have an appointment, I would love to have your littles come and play so you can do what you need to knowing your kiddos are safe and having fun.
A little bit about me: My name is Dawn Running but almost all of the kids I've ever taken care of (from the time I turned 11 and started babysitting until I closed my in home daycare this past June) have called me Dawnie. I have spent the past almost 35 years caring for children in some capacity. I went to school for Childcare Services at CVTC in Eau Claire, worked at a group center for about 6 months before moving to CT to nanny. I spent 12 years out there, 10 of them with same family before moving back to WI and opening Laugh and Learn In Home Childcare in my hometown of Tomah and moved it to West Salem after marrying my husband. Last June, I closed Laugh and Learn and took a position at Coulee Christian teaching the 4k Surround Care class. I absolutely loved it there, but unfortunately, we lost our childcare for our children and after getting an Autism diagnosis for our middle child, it made the most sense for me to be back at home.
That led to this idea of drop in care. I've been a work from home Mom, a stay at home Mom (I only did daycare during the school year), and a work out of the home Mom and it's all hard. Being a Mom is the hardest job there is and you deserve a break once in awhile, so come on by and meet me and start taking a break whether it's both mornings I'm open, once a week or once in awhile, I'd love to care for your children.
