Summer fun is under way at our STAR Care and preschool summer programs!

COS School parent, Michelle Youness-Anderson, received the Behind-the-Scenes award from Minndependent, which recognizes unsung heroes whose tireless efforts behind the scenes keep school communities thriving. As a parent of two 8th graders, and two graduates of COS, Michelle continuously volunteers her time and energy to support the school in countless ways. Michelle contributes her expertise and connections in construction to improve our COS facilities and grounds. She is often the first person asked to chaperone a field trip because of her reliability and care for students. She organizes teacher appreciation gifts at Christmas, delivers dinners during conference nights, and actively connects families to our supporting parishes because of her deep belief in our mission. Thank you, Michelle! We are lucky to have you in our community and school. And congratulations! A very well deserved award.

From Ms. Katie’s preschool class all the way through 8th grade - we have loved watching you grow into the kind and capable students you are today. After 10 years of seeing you in the hallways, you will truly be missed.

Yesterday in 6th grade science, students finished their cell analogy projects! Through detailed hand-drawn representations, students designed unique models that connected cell structures and functions to real-world systems. Each project showcased original thinking, artistic talent, and a deeper understanding of how cells work. Our whole class loved seeing the variety of creative models and the thoughtful connections students made throughout the process!
