What a cool gift one of our students gave owner/guitar instructor, Rick Stack! 🤩 Fun, practical, and heavy duty quality! To accompany some heavy guitar, perhaps? 😎🎸

Sophia takes piano AND flute lessons at SPSM! How cool is that? 🤩 If you are a singer, you could also take guitar or piano lessons to accompany yourself! Or perhaps you play guitar but have always wanted to sing. You can consider signing up for one instrument, or if you’re total beginner, you could also sign up for two instruments. The sky is the limit! 🌞 651-808-2532 stpaulschoolofmusic.com

A unique thing happened at our recent St. Paul School of Music Winter Recital. Elijah was playing “Stairway to Heaven,” by Led Zeppelin (super awesome by the way!), and the backing track he played to went out a couple times.
🙁 I felt horrible for him and was also upset with myself, thinking that I would have let him down. It was one of those fluke things though. The format I was using was something I had used many times before. So... we restarted it after the first time, and in the meantime, I had ran up to be on the side of the stage to kick on the lead channel of the amp for his guitar solo. But, as I was standing up there, the track stopped again! The amazing thing was, Elijah never missed a single note! He had incredible composure and just played as if nothing was happening! So COOL!! 😎 And there I was, on the side of the stage, looking at him, looking out at the soundman and so on, freaking out. 😆 I knew his guitar solo was coming up within seconds, and he would have no accompaniment. So I looked at all the guitars on the stage, quickly grabbed a Les Paul, plugged it in, sat down, and just in the nick of time played the rhythm guitar parts with him until the end of the song. Even though I feel still bad about the mishap, it ended up being a lot of fun, and Elijah’s playing was amazing!! A big shout out to Dustin Korth for doing such a fantastic job teaching Elijah! -Rick Stack, Owner of St. Paul School of Music
