We want to inform you about a series of non-credible, viral social media posts currently circulating on platforms like TikTok across the country. This appears to be part of a larger national and global social media trend. We have notified the West Sacramento Police Department and are working closely with them to monitor any potential threats to our schools.

We want to assure you that:

✅These posts are part of a hoax referencing a lengthy list of schools nationwide.
✅There is no specific threat to any WUSD schools.
✅There is no evidence of any credible threat to the safety of our students and staff.

While we do not believe there is cause for alarm, this situation serves as an important reminder of our shared responsibility in maintaining a safe school environment. We encourage you to:

✅Discuss responsible social media use with your children
✅Remind them not to share or spread unverified information
✅Emphasize the importance of reporting any concerning behavior or information to a trusted adult
