We wanted to come here to say a hello, and final farewell to all of our wonderful Learning Ladder families and friends. For those of you who enrolled your children here, thank you for giving us the privilege of caring for, and teaching your child/children. Each and every child that has come through our program has been special, and has left a lasting impression on us. It also could be said that while it is our job to teach young minds, those minds often teach us just as much, offering us a unique perspective on the world. Thank you again to all of our wonderful families, we wish you all well in the future! Farewell from your loving Learning Ladder staff♥️

Dear Learning Ladder Family and Friends,

Learning Ladder Preschool is proud to present the sustainable art show Hug Trees, Clean Seas, Save the Bees! Students used recycled materials to create thoughtful projects about nature and the planet. Throughout their curriculum the kids learned about the environment and nature within mountains, oceans, nature, and gardens. The Learning Ladder Team installed the students work inside Gallery 1075 of the West Sacramento Community Center. The team created a beautiful exhibition that encompasses the student’s creativity and new knowledge of the world.
Hug Trees, Clean Seas, Save the Bees! will be on display inside Gallery for observation of Month of the Youth Child (April), Earth Day (April 22) and Mother’s Day (May 9th).
The Community Center is closed to the public at this time. Please enjoy our YouTube video capturing the heart of the art show.

In Ms. Keegan's class the children learned about the water cycle and how clouds are formed. They got to see how the watercolors made the cloud heavy and then "rained" down into their cup. We then used shaving cream to paint clouds to make a cool art storm!

In Ms. Keegan's classroom the children learned about the story "The Princess and the Pea" Ms. Keegan then had the children recreate the story using a photo of themselves. Cool art project Ms. Keegan!

Last month we celebrated Black History month in the virtual room by learning about important men and women throughout history, and who are presently making history!

Check out our fun science-based art projects we tried! A little bit of glue, baking soda, add food coloring to vinegar, and you have a super fun fizzy picture! The droppers also help develop fine motor skills!

The floor is lava! Our kiddos love playing this timeless game with these crates. They use teamwork to build different structures as “safe” zones. Don’t touch the floor!

We did this great STEM activity, after studying winter and hibernating animals, the kids were able to create their own bear dens using marshmallows and toothpicks. When you use STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) in a preschool setting, it’s teaching and applying basic concepts such as problem solving, math, creativity and much, much more in our early learners! Take a look at one of the bear dens below!👇🏼🐻

Everything is awesome... when you are part of International Lego Day (the actual holiday was yesterday)! Our virtual learner’s love building with legos during their free time, and we love the creativity! Check out some of the amazing things they built this week. Have a great weekend everyone!
