The City of West Sacramento, in partnership with Tree Davis, has recently completed the requirements for a large Cap and Trade Grant. The program was successful in planting 1,000 new trees within 4-years in neighborhoods throughout West Sacramento. The trees will help to sequester carbon and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to reduce the impact of climate change throughout California. The program provided free trees to homes, businesses, schools, and parks north of the Barge Canal in West Sacramento. West Coast Arborist and Tree Davis worked together to plant the last 60-trees in the median at the south end of Enterprise Boulevard on December 16, 2019.
