🪱Students in Mrs. Davidson's 3rd grade class worked together to save Fred the gummy worm! Using team work and paper clips, students had to figure out how to save Fred the gummy worm from his capsized boat (cup) and put on his life preserver (gummy ring). This fun team building STEM activity helped students problem solve in a fun and yummy way!

Mrs. Francom’s fifth graders celebrated the conclusion of Fat Bear Week with adorable bear cupcakes! 🐻🧁 Hosted by explore.org, Fat Bear Week celebrates the bears of Katmai National Park in Alaska as they build up fat reserves to survive the harsh winter.

The sweet celebration connected to our science curriculum as students explored how energy is transferred between living things. Learning is even sweeter with cupcakes! 🔬🍃

The learning doesn't stop at the checkout desk in the Lions Library! 🦁📚
After picking out their latest reads, our students are diving straight into our maker stations to build, create, and collaborate. Watching them put their STEM skills to work, troubleshoot together, and bring such unique creations to life is the highlight of our day.
Where imagination meets hands-on innovation! What is your student currently building?

📚✨ Read-A-Thon Fun at Lakeside Elementary! ✨📚

Our students joined schools across Utah today for the statewide Read-A-Thon hosted by Governor and First Lady Cox in partnership with UtahReads.org!

This morning, our Lakeside learners got cozy with blankets, pillows, and great books for a school-wide celebration of reading. What a wonderful way to share the joy of literacy!
