The ARES team is kicking off our preliminary design review! 🚀 Our team leader is also working on his Level 2 High Power Rocketry certification rocket. The Launch Vehicle team is getting hands-on with OpenRocket software to project our rocket’s altitude, while the payload team dives into the engineering design process for this mission. Big things ahead! 💫

The ARES team just wrapped up an exciting week of engineering design challenges! 🚀

Last week, our prospective members designed a payload, equipped with sensors, similar to the mission set for this year’s NASA Student Launch competition.

After hand-selecting our final roster, we held our first full team meeting and wrapped up our proposal—now off to NASA for review!

Big day for the ARES team! 🚀 Team leadership briefed SMDC Commander COL Brooks on our mission and plans for the NASA Student Launch Competition. Members got our rocket lab organized and ready for the season of research and development. The first interest meeting took place this evening to welcome potential new members.
