West Point Public Schools - Nebraska West Point Public Schools is a public school system in rural Nebraska serving the communities of West Point.

West Point Public Schools is a Class III School District located in Northeast Nebraska. West Point has a unique educational process in that there are three parochial school systems within the district. The demographics of the West Point School District have changed substantially in the past decade with a steady increase in the number of minority students and also students who qualify for free/redu

ced meals. To meet the needs of our changing demographics, the district currently provides ELL instruction and reading intervention programs to qualified students. School-wide Title I programs are provided at West Point Elementary School and Beemer Elementary School. An alternative education program is available at the high school. College credit courses are available for high school school students. The West Point Public Schools also has a comphrehensive special education program. West Point Public Schools continuously strive to provide a top quality education for all students.

Today, our JAG classes welcomed a representative from Southeast Community College to learn more about the opportunities available to students after high school!

Visits like these give our Cadets a chance to explore different paths, ask questions, and start thinking about what their future could look like.

Our 5th & 6th graders in Mr. Faeth’s science classes headed outdoors for a nature walk to put their observation skills to the test! 🔎🌿

Students searched for examples of both qualitative observations (what they could describe) and quantitative observations (what they could measure or count). Then, they used their findings to make inferences about what they observed! 🍃🐜

Every Wednesday, we’re celebrating our 5th & 6th Grade Cadets and all the ways they’re WINNING—in the classroom, with their classmates, and throughout our school!

This week’s individual shoutouts go to:
⭐ Giselle Rodriguez (5th) – For being a great friend and showing kindness to someone who was having a hard time.
⭐ Samuel Beltran (6th) – He put awesome effort into his MAPs testing this week!

We also celebrated ALL of our 5th & 6th graders for working hard on testing, helping keep our hallways clean, and simply being kind Cadets. Lots of wins to celebrate this week!
