Thursday, October 15th kicks off the first round of the 2026 East Husker Conference Volleyball Tournament! 🏐

West Point-Beemer Volleyball will play at 5pm against Humphrey-Lindsay in Lindsay. The winner will advance to play at 7pm vs the winner of the 6pm game in Lindsay.

This Friday, October 16th, our West Point-Beemer Cadets Football team travels to North Bend Central Public Schools, and they are hosting a Veterans Night!

As a thank you for their service, ANY active-duty military members and veterans will receive FREE admission to the game! Simply let the ticket attendant know that you are a current or former member of the military when you arrive.

A special THANK YOU to North Bend Central for recognizing our military members and veterans and extending this opportunity to our Cadet community! We appreciate your generosity and commitment to honoring those who have served.

This afternoon, our students and staff lined the hallways to cheer on our West Point FFA Land Judging State Qualifiers with a celebratory hallway walk! 🎉

The state qualifiers will compete tomorrow, October 14th, in Beatrice!

We wish them all the best of luck! We’re so proud of you! 👏

Today we hosted a HAL (High Ability Learners) event, welcoming students from West Point, Wahoo, Tekamah-Herman, Oakland-Craig, and Scribner-Snyder for a day of learning, creativity, and collaboration!

With the help of Nebraska Extension, students participated in two different activities:

3rd-5th Grade | Ag-citing!
Students made their own butter and participated in a “watermelon breakdown” activity to learn how meat is processed into different products.

6th-8th Grade | Inventure Day!
Students explored the world of branding and marketing, learning how businesses develop their brands and why branding plays such an important role in selling products.

One of the best parts of the day was seeing students from different schools working together, sharing ideas, and making new connections along the way!

A BIG thank you to Nebraska Extension for bringing these activities to our students and to all the schools who joined us for a great day!

Mrs. Wiechman’s 2nd graders took on the Save Fred! Challenge to work their problem-solving skills and perseverance! 🐛🚨

Poor Fred the worm fell out of his boat without his life preserver. Students had to work together to get Fred safely into his life preserver AND back into his boat…. with one catch: NO HANDS ALLOWED! Teams could only use paperclips to complete their rescue mission.

The activity encouraged students to work through obstacles, try different approaches, and keep going even when things got tricky.

Sometimes the best lessons come from a little challenge… and these Cadets learned that giving up isn’t the answer! 💪

Fall fun with our littlest Cadets! 🍁❤️

Last week, our preschoolers learned about fire safety during Fire Prevention Week, and earlier this week, our 4-year-olds took advantage of a beautiful fall afternoon by collecting colorful leaves at recess to make their own little “bouquets!”

Our preschoolers have been keeping busy!
