6 years and one major expansion.

From 2020 to 2026, our West Point campus has grown right alongside our community. What started as one building serving our earliest families has transformed into a fully expanded campus, complete with a new wing and more classrooms, built to carry our students all the way through 9th grade. 🎓

This wasn't just concrete and construction. It took two years of planning, a Charter Schools Program grant, and a small army of people who believed in this vision: our board, our administration, our teachers, our families, and every community partner who showed up for us along the way. To everyone who poured their time, energy, and heart into making this dream a reality: thank you.. 🙏

We're Hiring: Substitute School Bus Driver — Monticello Academy West Point

Exciting news for our community: Monticello is now offering bus service to the Northern Davis County area. Our bus drivers help students get safely to a classroom built on strong academics, real teachers, and a college-prep foundation.

What you'd do:
📍 Drive assigned morning and afternoon routes for the West Point campus
🚌 Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
🤝 Communicate professionally with students, parents, and staff
✅ Help keep our transportation program safe, reliable, and consistent

What you need:
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with school bus and passenger endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Dependable, punctual, and calm under pressure

Details: Part-time, as-needed during the school year · $25.00/hour · Split morning/afternoon shifts · Occasional field trip and activity hours available

🎉 Big news for Monticello Academy West Point—our new bus routes are here!

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Monticello Academy will offer two routes serving families in Syracuse, Clearfield, Clinton, Roy, West Haven, and Hooper.

Swipe through the images to find your route, stop location, estimated pickup time, and a QR code linking to the exact stop location.

Monticello Academy West Point will serve grades K–7 in 2026–2027 and expand through grade 9 in 2027–2028.

Next week, we will send families a transportation sign-up form so we know which students may use each stop.

Please have students at their stop at least five minutes early. Times are estimates and may shift slightly during the first few weeks as we fine-tune the routes.

Monticello Academy has been named Utah's 2026 Charter School of the Year, chosen by the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools from 138 charter schools statewide.

We're proud that our West Point campus is part of this recognition.

Monticello is a tuition-free K–7 public charter school. No entrance test. No tuition. In 2026, our West Point campus expands into 7th grade, with 8th and 9th coming in 2027.

Monticello Academy is Utah’s 2026 Charter School of the Year!

Out of 138 charter schools across Utah, Monticello Academy has been named the 2026 UAPCS Circle of Excellence School of the Year by the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools.

This award recognizes strong academic results, impressive student growth, and a well-rounded program that supports students in academics, character, the arts, computer science, outdoor education, and more.

We are grateful to the students, families, teachers, and staff at both our West Valley City and West Point campuses who make Monticello such a special place to learn.

We have exciting news to celebrate! 🎉

Monticello Academy has been awarded a $2,000,000 Charter School Program (CSP) Expansion Grant administered by the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools (UAPCS). These grants are specifically targeted to expand access to Utah's highest-performing charter schools.

This investment allows us to expand through junior high (up to grade 9)—giving our students a clear, continuous pathway toward rigorous high school programs and selective four-year colleges.

It also means greater access for families. With new, targeted bus transportation routes, we’ll be able to serve additional communities and bring more students to Monticello Academy each day.

Most importantly, this ensures that as we grow, we do so with quality—so every student enters a program that is fully built, fully supported, and grounded in a knowledge-rich, academically rigorous education.

We’re deeply grateful to UAPCS for making this opportunity possible—and excited for what lies ahead for our students and community.

Our Military Muster Service Project donation drive ends this Wednesday, April 22. We invite our school community to help support deployed troops and military families by sending in donation items with your child before the deadline.

Suggested donations include snacks, personal care items, thank-you cards, books, games, and notes of encouragement.

Thank you for helping our students lead with service and gratitude.
