Today, we are honored to recognize an incredible milestone: Neva Parrott's 56-year work anniversary at Garnett Library!

For more than five decades, Neva has been a welcoming presence, a trusted source of knowledge, and a dedicated champion for library patrons and the community. Her commitment, professionalism, and passion for service have touched countless lives and helped make Garnett Library a special place for generations of visitors.

Fifty-six years of service is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Neva's dedication, hard work, and love for the library. We are grateful for the many ways she has contributed to the success of Garnett Library and enriched our campus community over the years.

Help us find Grizz at the Counseling Center open houe in the Neurodiversity and Autism Center! Event will include an escape room, scavenger hunts and more from 2 to 4 p.m.

Eligible participants can receive funding through the EDA Good Jobs Challenge for select short-term healthcare training programs at Missouri State University-West Plains.

Applicants must be 18 or older and live in an eligible south central or southeast Missouri county. Applications are due Sept. 30.

At MSU-WP, the Office of Workforce Development offers healthcare training courses that qualify for this grant, including Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Office Assistant, and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.

We welcomed Rep. Lisa Durnell, Sen. Brad Hudson and Missouri State University Chief of Staff Jamie Birch to campus today for an update on the Veterinary Technician program and tours of Drago Hall and the Wulff-Risner Agricultural Science Center from Chancellor Zora Mulligan and program director Rachael Gipson.

A new chapter in the Book of Grizzlies! 🐻📖

Missouri State University-West Plains wrapped up welcome week with Convocation, where Chancellor Mulligan officially welcomed students back for the new school year.

MSU-WP alumna Micaela Wiehe was the special guest speaker, along with SGA President Michelle Robles. Both had inspiring speeches for our first year students.

Students also took part in one of our favorite traditions, signing the Book of Grizzlies and marking their place in the history and tradition of MSU-WP.
