🚨 PARKING SPOT PAINTING INFO! 🚨 please read!

It is not too late to purchase a parking spot to paint! Here are some details you may need to know.

1) If you have not purchased a spot yet, Mrs. Zuercher (formally Ms. Peterson) will be at the WPHS front office area on the following dates/times for you to come and sign up for one.
Tuesday August 11th 10 am - 11 am
Wednesday August 12th 10 am - 11 am
Thursday August 13th 10 am - 11 am

2) You must submit your parking spot painting proposal by 11 am on Thursday August 13th so that it can be approved. NO spots will be painted without approval

3) You are responsible for providing all materials to paint your spot and cover it back up at the end of the school year. friends and family are welcome to come and help you paint!

4) parking spot painting will take place Friday August 14th from 9 am - 1 pm

Q/A
Q: what if I cannot make it one of those three dates or during that time provided to buy a spot?
A: send a parent or a friend during that time to pay and pickup paperwork for you

Q: what if I am unable to submit my parking spot proposal by the required date/time?
A: you will not paint a parking spot

Q: what if I am unable to make it on the date of the spot painting?
A: right now that is the only day available. If anything changes Mrs. Z will send an email to seniors opening up the chance to purchase a spot to paint

Q: what if I can only attend the spot painting at noon? I’ll only have an hour? Is that enough time?
A: Painting parking spots takes time and effort. Bring extra hands if you are worried about the timeframe. All painting will commence at 1 pm no exceptions.

Q: what if I already bought a spot but cannot make the painting date?
A: Come one of the listed dates/times and you will receive a refund

It was a great day for Special Olympics of Missouri! And Howell County came to play! We are so proud of them for taking home second place today and for the sportsmanship that took place on and off the field by all teams. Thank you to the Springfield teams who came down to play on a hot summer day!

We are camp ready!

For the first time, WPHS has 4 people on STAFF at the MASC Summer Camp. Kayleigh, Abby, and Kenzie are all Junior Counselors (JCs) and Ms. Peterson is an adult counselor (AC). We are so excited to amplify our leadership this week and learn ways to make WPHS even better.

Tomorrow, 4 more StuCo members will join us for a week of camp. We are so thankful for the opportunity to lead and serve our school!

One of the best programs we got to be apart of this year was the addition of Special Olympics. Each Thursday we got to go to the adaptive PE class and work on different physical skills while building friendships. Almost 50 students gathered each Thursday and it was the day of the week EVERYONE looked forward to.

This friendship right here was made from day 1! Maren and Tyler were fast friends and looked forward to each week together. It’s no surprise that their “see ya later” was a bit emotional for the entire class. We are so sad to say goodbye to our seniors, but are so thankful for their leadership, passion, and commitment to the SOMO program. The foundation they helped build this year gives us a great launching pad for next year!

Teacher Appreciation Week has officially begun — A Week in Paradise!

HUGE thank you to Walmart for donating donuts to our teachers and to Body in Balance for bringing comfort and relaxation to our teachers today!
