Back to school! ๐ We are so thrilled to have everyone back!
Connections
We're a nonprofit educational center in Florida that empowers students and young adults with autism.
Connections Education Center of the Palm Beaches is a progressive educational community that is dedicated to serving students with autism.
For adults with autism, hands-on experiences like this are an important part of building greater independence and developing skills that can carry over into employment and everyday life.
Our Connections Adult Program (CAP) adults headed to the store to help get the Connections School Store ready for the new school year โ and they were involved every step of the way.
From shopping for snacks and scanning items at checkout to calculating store prices, organizing inventory, and stocking the shelves, our CAP adults practiced money management, decision-making, organization, teamwork, and workplace responsibility โ all in a real-world setting.
And now they get to see the result of their hard work as students and staff shop the store throughout the school year. ๐ฉท๐๐

One of our summer campersโ favorite outings was visiting the bowling alley, where every roll was an opportunity to practice coordination, patience, turn-taking, and social skills while simply enjoying time with friends.
For children with autism, community outings like this offer meaningful real-world experiences in a fun, supportive environment.
