Our paleontologists had a ROAR-some time at Summer Camp! They took to the skies with their flying pterodactyl activity!

Campers colored, cut out, and built their very own pterodactyls before sending them soaring through the air on a fun string-and-straw flight adventure.

We are proud to announce that we are a finalist for the Palm Beach Illustrated Education Awards for our GEMS Club!

GEMS (Girls Excelling in Math and Science) Club at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium engages girls grades 3-8 and combines a monthly dinner with a chance to meet and learn from visiting female scientists who are leaders in their respective fields. From astronauts and scientists to mathematicians and aerospace engineers, the speakers are role models GEMS girls may emulate as their education and careers unfold.

Every vote helps and we would appreciate your support! You can vote for our GEMS club by visiting https://www.palmbeachillustrated.com/education-awards-voting/

Big things are happening at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium! 🚧✨

Everything we do begins with one purpose of transforming lives by opening every mind to science. As we move into the next phase of our ambitious expansion, that vision is becoming a reality.

This transformation is already well underway. Over the past year, we have completed critical site work, dredged our lake, and opened our new Operations Building, the first completed structure of this expansion. Soon, our campus will grow from 35,000 to more than 100,000 square feet of hands-on discovery, and our aquarium will expand from 10,000 to 160,000 gallons, becoming one of Florida's largest indoor aquariums and celebrating the incredible ecosystems of South Florida.

The future is taking shape, and we can't wait to share it with you. 💙
