Kathleen Kenny received her B.F.A from the University of Utah and graduated from the university's Actor Training Program.
She's also a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC. She offers private coaching in audition prep and public speaking. Kat has offered acting, improvisation and musical theatre dance classes at a number of fine arts establishments in Palm Beach County for the past 10 years. She also offers private sessions for children, teens and adults in acting, acting for the camera, cold readings, audition prep, public speaking and improvisation.

This 5 week in person class will cover all aspects of the Bak Theatre Audition. (We will break a half hour for lunch.) There will be a mock audition at the end of the class series. REGISTER at www.actorsrep.org
Registration for this class is capped at just 12 students to follow our Covid safety policy and so that everyone is given individual focus and time to work.

COVID SAFETY POLICIES FOR IN PERSON CLASSES
We take the health and safety of our students, staff, performers and volunteers very seriously and are taking steps to help everyone stay in tip top shape.
All of our instructors are fully vaccinated.
Classes are currently limited to 12 participants.
All classes are currently held in our theatre space for optimum space/ventilation.
Social distancing is being followed (classroom chairs are spaced at least 6 feet.)
We ask all students to wear a mask for classes and theatre activities, regardless of vaccination status.
Theatre/bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized regularly along with a weekly deep clean.
Sanitizer stations will be available.
We ask all students, staff and volunteers to kindly stay home if you have a fever or suspect you may have had contact with someone carrying the CoronaVirus.

We are VERY Excited to have the one and only Shannon Dale Stott for a 3 class series!
This online workshop focuses on identifying and moving through the moments in which Improvisors are verbally, mentally and physically stuck or holding back on stage. Shannon Stott encourages and guides participants to improvise boldly and to take up space. Expect to push improv boundaries. Areas of study: Breaking the moment, Checking in with you, Asking the obvious questions, Returning to the relationship.

This virtual class will get your future Bak “Star” prepared for their communications audition. Over the course of 9 weeks, your student will sharpen their writing, speech and analysis skills to WOW the adjudicators! Class will include impromptu creative writing prompts, speech/writing practice, media analysis and specific instructor feedback for each student.

We know the school-week can be exhausting for teachers, ESPECIALLY these first few weeks back in action.
Our co-founder, Lisa Poskanzer, is the media specialist at North Grade Elementary here in Lake Worth Beach, FL, and she's become a Digital ROCKSTAR, teaching online and creating a virtual library for her students.
Though Lisa makes it look easy, she'd be the first to admit that getting back to school has been a little hectic and stressful.
BUT she'd also tell you that taking 'brain breaks' to have a little bit of fun makes a HUGE difference both in and out of the classroom.
Improv 2 Improve LLC is offering FREE Teacher Playdates every Friday at 3:30pm for the entire school year- that way, teachers always have a place to go to play games and have fun after a long week of doing one of the most important jobs there is.
We believe teacher happiness has a direct correlation to student happiness, and we know that our games ignite JOY in everyone who plays them, so we are committed to bringing those moments of joy to as many teachers as possible.
