Today, our alumni had the opportunity to experience Florida's natural wonders through the Florida Hatchling Discovery Program at Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

From witnessing a live sea turtle nest excavation to learning about the challenges these remarkable hatchlings face on their journey to the ocean, it was a memorable morning of education, conservation, and connection.

Thank you to the team at Loggerhead Marinelife Center for sharing your passion and expertise. Together we're reminded that leadership extends beyond boardrooms and into the communities and ecosystems we call home.

Leadership Palm Beach County is proud to announce its new Programs Manager, Ashley Cacicedo-Surdovel.

Ashley is a civic leader and communications professional dedicated to strengthening communities across Palm Beach County. A graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County's EPIC Engage Class of 2025, she is deeply involved in volunteer leadership, serving as President of the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and Co-Chair of the League of Women Voters of Florida Young Adults Committee. She is also an active member of the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County, a former Chapter Director of New Leaders Council Palm Beach, and serves on the South Florida Fair Scholarship Committee.

Lindsey brings deep expertise in nonprofit fundraising and development, event planning, and membership engagement — strengths that align well with the current and future needs of this organization. As a Palm Beach County native, she has built an impressive career across the local nonprofit sector. She has previously served as Chief Advancement Officer at Hanley Foundation and previously as Associate Vice President of Philanthropy at United Way of Palm Beach County. Having graduated from our Engage program in 2016 she has remained an active member and volunteer across several different committees over the years. She is a recent graduate of Leadership Florida — reflecting a genuine commitment to leadership and community.

Lindsey steps into the Executive Director role at a moment of extraordinary opportunity, as Palm Beach County continues to grow. Congratulations!
