Originally from Guatemala, Mayra Perez Chavac came to the United States to further her academic career and provide a better life for her son, who struggles with epilepsy and autism. She knew that as an emigrant and a single mother to a child with special needs, there would be obstacles to face, but she trusted God’s ability to provide a path forward. That path opened when Chavac was accepted into the Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy program at Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA), where she will graduate in May.

Join us in shaping the future of pharmacy by supporting student scholarships at the Gregory School of Pharmacy.
This year, we are excited to offer two meaningful ways to give:
GSOP General Scholarship Fund
Class of 2005 Endowed Scholarship Fund
Both opportunities directly support student scholarships—helping GSOP recruit and retain the highest quality students and prepare them to become servant leaders and medication experts who will make a difference in their communities.
Scholarships are more critical now than ever before. Your gift helps ease financial burdens, opens doors of opportunity, and empowers the next generation of pharmacy professionals to focus on learning, leading, and serving.

What a fantastic day on the Treasure Coast with Dean Strachan visiting some of our incredible GSOP alumni!
We started in Ft. Pierce with Keaton Grant and Aisha Grant at their beautiful waterfront independent Harborside Pharmacy & Wellness. Seeing first-hand the impressive scope of the services they are offering to their community was truly inspiring. And you sure can't beat their location 🌴 ⛵
Next, we visited the outstanding team of GSOP alumni at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie — Jason Carlson, Sean Murray, Chip Cathey, Joseph Dunn, and current P4 John Lofaro. It’s powerful to see so many GSOP pharmacists working together to deliver exceptional patient care.
We wrapped up the day with a stop into Sewell's Point Pharmacy with Cristal Totterman, PharmD., another shining example of leadership and dedication in community practice. And, a great example of what it means to intentionally curate a pharmacy to meet both the health needs and the aesthetic vibe of the community it serves.
It is truly wonderful to see our alumni in action — leading, serving, and providing servant-leader quality care to their communities every day. The Treasure Coast is well cared for by these Sailfish!
