yoga nidra is my favorite practice help me get out of my head - to feel deeply relaxed and experience more peace, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

join me to experience this magical practice of conscious deep rest!
nothing is needed from you besides showing up. you lay down and listen to my voice, guiding you to notice different sensations, images, and experiences within you.

No intense concentration needed. Instead, think of being gently guided deeper within yourself, one layer of experience at a time.

Yoga nidra is a practice of conscious deep rest: the body rests while a thread of awareness remains. this can feel like 4-6 hours of restorative sleep.

With regular practice, yoga nidra can support:
- Lower stress levels and less mental rumination
- Improved sleep quality + efficiency
- Improved attention, memory, and cognitive processing

I don’t always want to practice Yoga Nidra.

Before this, I had offered Reiki to a big group and spent a few hours working on my laptop. I had finished everything I needed to do - but instead of stopping, I caught myself searching for something else to accomplish. I took that as a sign to slow down instead.

Sometimes, the hardest part of resting is choosing to stop.

After Yoga Nidra, my mind felt quieter, my body more relaxed, and I felt present enough for life to move a little slower :)

Experience it with me:

October 3 at 4 PM • Yoga Path Yoga Path Palm Beach
October 10 at 5 PM • Ananda Yoga Ānanda Yoga

Registration for both is linked in my bio. 🤍

Yin can feel very uncomfortable for people + one reason may be going too deep, too fast.

This doesn’t mean you should never move or adjust. If you feel pain, pinching, numbness, tingling, or anything beyond manageable discomfort, definitely come out or change the pose.

But if you find yourself constantly fidgeting because the sensation became too intense, let this be your invitation to enter more slowly next time.

Find your first edge. Give your body time to settle. You can always explore going deeper later.

short practices are amazing, but they’re not the whole picture. sometimes your nervous system needs more time to settle. experiment with different practice lengths and notice how you feel! your body doesn’t know what the timer says.

control feels safe
but practicing releasing control and being present is much more freeing

attention is our most valuable resource.

whenever I catch myself worrying about things I can’t control, replaying conversations, or carrying what’s not mine to carry, I come back to this reminder:

“I save my energy for things that serve me.”

because what we repeatedly focus on shapes our experience. every minute I spend there is a minute i’m not putting toward the life I’m trying to build

a simple practice i always come back to

ksepana mudra (gesture of letting go)
interlace your fingers, extending index fingers together and pointing them towards the Earth

take 5-8 breaths, then release the mudra, palms up for a few breaths. notice any shifts.

we have the awesome ability to experience such a wide range of emotions and sometimes when i get stuck feeling low, i forget that giving myself permission to feel what’s here, instead of trying to force it away, can be much more freeing and, in a way, peaceful

Stress doesn’t always end when the situation ends.

A difficult conversation, frustrating email, traffic, an unexpected problem - the moment may be over, but you might still notice tension in your body or your mind replaying it hours later.

This simple breath awareness practice helps bring your attention back to the present moment.

As you breathe in:
“I am aware I am breathing in.”
As you breathe out:
“I am aware I am breathing out.”

Rather than trying to force yourself to relax, simply notice what you’re experiencing. Notice where you feel expansion as you inhale and what softens as you exhale.

Try it for 3-5 breaths and let me know what you notice :)
