It's Celebrate Freedom Week in Florida (through Saturday). Students learn about many things related to American Founders this month and during this week we Celebrate Freedom in a special way. At the beginning of each school day per Florida Statute, public school principals and teachers shall conduct an oral recitation by students of the pictured words of the Declaration of Independence.

Attention Dads and Father Figures: tomorrow, September 21, 2023, is Dads Take Your Child to School Day. The initiative serves to highlight and support fatherhood engagement in education by helping schools foster this important connection with fathers and father figures. Research indicates engaging dads, brothers, uncles, father figures, other significant male role models, and male mentors, increases student success in numerous ways.
Taking your children to school tomorrow is just one small step all fathers can take to begin to increase not only their engagement in their children's education, but also their children's academic success.
