What a fun night of great food, great people, and an even greater purpose! 💙👨🏽‍🍳

A huge thank you to Oceana Coffee for giving us the opportunity to participate in Round 2 of the Culinary Clash! We are so grateful to be part of an event that brings our community together while shining a spotlight on local nonprofits and the important work happening throughout Palm Beach County.

And a very special thank you to Chef Isael “Izzy” Alvarez Izzy and his team for representing us and serving up some seriously fantastic eats! We couldn’t have asked for a better chef in our corner. BRAVO!!👏🔥

While we may not be moving on to the final round, we still walked away winners. Because when local businesses, talented chefs, friends, and neighbors come together to support nonprofits working every day in our community, we ALL win. 💙

Congratulations to Els for Autism® and Jon Sarmiento who are moving on to the finals. 🎉 Thank you to everyone who came out, cheered us on, tasted, voted, and supported this wonderful event.

We’re making a little history at Bak once again!

We are incredibly excited to share that Bak Middle School of the Arts will present the first school-based, student-led production in the United States of Greg Banks’ adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s THE HOBBIT!

Even more meaningful, our production received approval from Middle-earth Enterprises because of Bak Theatre’s history of “excellent, professional-quality productions.” We were also told that the only other approved student productions of this adaptation have taken place in the United Kingdom—and that we may remain the only approved student-led production in the U.S. for quite some time.

After the incredible opportunity to bring the National Middle School Premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to our stage, we could not be more thrilled to give our students another opportunity to be at the forefront of educational theatre.

This April, our students will journey from Bag End to the Lonely Mountain, bringing Tolkien’s world to life through ambitious storytelling, puppetry, stagecraft, and a whole lot of theatrical magic.

We’re incredibly proud that the work happening at Bak continues to open doors like this for young artists—and we can’t wait to show you what they create.

Have you ever wondered what makes Bak Middle School of the Arts such a special place to learn, create, and grow?

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Bak MSOA Foundation invites our community, interested families, and prospective students to Fall in Love with Bak, a unique opportunity to step inside the world of Bak and experience the incredible arts programs that bring our campus to life.

✨ The day will feature THREE separate sessions, with each session highlighting specific art areas and offering guests a glimpse into the creativity, instruction, and experiences that make each program unique. Whether your passion is music, dance, theatre, visual arts, communications, or something you haven’t discovered yet, this is a chance to see the arts at Bak in action! ✨

Each session will be separately ticketed, allowing guests to choose the experience, or experiences, that interest them most.

🎶 BAK MSOA IS HEADED TO NATIONAL ACDA! 🎶

We are proud to announce that the Bak MSOA Chorale has been selected to perform at the 2027 National ACDA Conference in Minneapolis! ✨

This is a tremendous honor. We are one of only two middle school choirs in the country selected to perform at the conference, and we are honored to represent Florida and Palm Beach County on the national stage.

We are so proud of our students and grateful to everyone who has supported their journey. We can’t wait to share their music with the national choral community in March!
