Here are where some of the books we got from our book drive ended up - the Guatemalan-Maya Center!
Don't forget to donate to our puzzles/games drive for community service hours!!! Our drop-off location is in the media center in Mrs. Davis's office. Please leave your name and student number. Don't forget your community service sheets!
We will be having a meeting during lunch this Friday in the media center to discuss important topics and make flashcards. You will get an hour of community service if you come!

If anyone is interested in tutoring Mayan immigrant children at either Highland Elementary School or South Grade Elementary School in Lake Worth, please comment or message us. You can get an unlimited amount of community service since the program runs from Monday to Friday and you can go the days of your choosing. You do not need to be able to speak Spanish to be able to help these children out, most of them do not speak Spanish but a Mayan dialect. It's a really enriching experience!
As you may have heard over the morning announcements, the Latin-Hispanic Heritage Club is having a thanksgiving canned food drive to send to the Guatemalan-Maya center. We will be working in conjunction with them on this. You may drop them off in Ms. Lopez's room (3-201). Attach a community service sheet with a list of the non-perishable food items you donated and you will get one hour for every three items. Thank you!
