Having goals (even tiny ones) vs New Year's Resolutions is a good thing.
Every month, I draft a list of about 10 items as my monthly intentions. The list consists of a few that appear in every monthly list, but mostly it changes, and I give every new month a new set of goals. The aim is never to completely finish the list (but if I do, I consider it an even greater accomplishment). These monthly intentions include everything from health goals to necessary household chores to things that are strictly good for the soul like a spa day or a long weekend away. Making lists and working through them is already a soothing exercise for a cluttered mind. Setting many small, achievable goals is an excellent foundation for a true sense of well being and accomplishment

I find that affirmations help us reach a new level of happiness. Speak the words aloud or silently. Be sure to be mindful of the meaning and the feeling that it has already happened, then It Will happen! Say the affirmation at least 3 times a day, for 21 days, so that the body and mind “Believe” it has happened. Try it!
