Marriage is not always about finding the perfect person. Sometimes it is about learning how to love each other through the pain, the silence, the misunderstandings, and the seasons that test your hearts.
Before walking away, ask yourself: are we fighting each other, or are we fighting what hurt us?

One of the biggest mistakes we can make in relationships is giving someone a permanent position based on temporary information.
Sometimes we meet someone, enjoy the connection, appreciate how they treat us in the beginning, and quickly decide where they belong in our lives. But connection is not the same as character, and chemistry is not the same as commitment.
Some things can only be revealed with TIME.
Time shows you how people handle disappointment.
Time shows you how they respond when you say no.
Time reveals consistency, loyalty, intentions, and character.
So don't be afraid to let people earn their position in your life.
You can love people and still use wisdom.
You can have a good heart and still have boundaries.
And you can care about someone without immediately giving them permanent access to you.
Time reveals character. Seasons reveal intentions.
Be careful who you give a permanent seat to. ❤️

We give people access too easily.
In business, we believe in a process. In our careers, there are qualifications, interviews, training, evaluations, and steps before someone is trusted with an important position.
But when it comes to something far more valuable our heart, our peace, and our life sometimes we skip the process completely.
We give people positions they were never qualified to hold. We give them access they never earned. Then when they mishandle us, we ask, “God, why did You allow this to happen to me?”
But sometimes, we have to stop blaming God and start taking accountability for the access we gave.
Not everyone deserves immediate access to you.
Not everyone belongs in your inner circle.
Not everyone who shows interest has earned a position in your life.
Access should come with a process.
We have to become wiser about who we allow close enough to influence our hearts, our peace, and our future.
Protect what is precious. Make people qualify for the position they want to hold in your life.
