Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming our transfer students to Cardinal Newman as they begin their journey as Crusaders. Throughout the day, they had the opportunity to meet fellow students, connect with faculty and staff, and get a glimpse of life at Cardinal Newman.

A special thank you to Mrs. Benvenuto, our dedicated faculty and staff, and our incredible student ambassadors for making today so welcoming. Your kindness and leadership helped our newest Crusaders feel right at home from day one.

Today, our faculty and staff came together for our annual retreat as we prepare to welcome students back to campus.

Led by Father Serge Dubé, the retreat gave us time to pray, reflect, and grow together in faith. It was an opportunity to step away from our daily routines and refocus on the mission that brings us together as we prepare for a new school year.

Thank you to the Basilica of Saint Edward for welcoming us into your beautiful space for this meaningful day of reflection.

Please join us in welcoming Nicole Coyne, RN, as Cardinal Newman's new School Nurse.

Originally from Massachusetts, Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts and is a Registered Nurse with nearly 30 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has cared for patients, students, and families across the country, from the East Coast to Hawaii, in intensive care, pediatric, and school nursing settings.

Nicole and her husband moved to Florida four years ago following his retirement from a 26-year career in the United States Marine Corps. Together, they are proud parents of four amazing children.

An active member of St. Ignatius Cathedral, Nicole is grateful for the opportunity to combine her Catholic faith with her passion for caring for students and supporting their families. She looks forward to promoting the health, well-being, and success of every student while becoming a valued part of the Cardinal Newman community.

Please join us in welcoming Nya Lowe '19 as Cardinal Newman's new Director of Alumni Relations and Marketing.

A proud Cardinal Newman alumna and West Palm Beach native, Nya continued her education at Florida Atlantic University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Business Marketing, before returning to her alma mater.

In her new role, Nya looks forward to strengthening the lifelong bond between Cardinal Newman and its alumni by celebrating the people, faith, traditions, and memories that make being a Crusader last far beyond graduation.

Originally from Chicago, Cari and her family moved to Lakeland, Florida, in 2001. She has dedicated her career to helping students grow as leaders both inside and outside the classroom.

Cari earned a B.S. in Biology, an M.A. in Leadership Studies, and a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Student Affairs. Her professional journey began in higher education, where she worked for 15 years. Since then, she has served in Catholic high schools, teaching and mentoring students while working closely with student organizations and leadership programs.

Cari is passionate about developing young leaders, fostering school spirit, and creating meaningful opportunities for students to grow in faith, character, and service.

She is thrilled to join the Crusader family and is looking forward to an amazing year ahead!

Coach Sam Budnyk's impact on Cardinal Newman cannot be measured by wins alone. He inspired generations of Crusaders through his faith, leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to our community. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and in the Crusader family he loved so deeply.

Semper Fi, Coach. Thank you for your leadership, your service, and the example you set for generations of Crusaders. You will be deeply missed. 💙💛

Our Crusaders are serving hot lunch, lending a helping hand, and spending time with members of our community as they live out the value of service. It’s a reminder that being a Crusader extends far beyond the football field. 💙💛
