Good afternoon everyone,
I would like to take the time to say thank you to my supporters. Your kind words of encouragement along the campaign trail meant that you recognized my leadership capabilities as well as the passion, strength, and vision for educators as well as our professional organization. I am super proud of all of the collective strength that every one of you displayed during this time. I am honored to have served you. I will continue to bring important educator-based conversations into unique spaces to ensure that our concerns receive the attention they deserve.
The heartbeat of CTA requires that educators continually challenge themselves beyond their comfort zone. It requires us to press on despite our disappointments, our fears, and our limitations. Therefore, I am asking that you not allow my loss to be in vain. Continue to fight for our organization's survival, encourage our colleagues' engagement, and remain steadfast in restoring our profession to its rightful place in the spotlight. As always, I will continue to vigorously defend your rights and encourage you to do the same. Teacher, Every Time! Be well.
