Instinct says find the cleanest trauma target and go. Discovery says the opposite: begin with the part that's most blended with the system - the one running the show. Here's why. The most blended protector is the one shaping everything else in the room. Try to reach around it and you get looping, backlash, or a session that looks productive and changes nothing. Work with it first, clarify its positive intention, and the rest of the system starts to differentiate on its own. You're not avoiding the hard part.
