Hello Everyone,

It was great seeing so many of you at our monthly meeting tonight! We are really looking forward to our 4th Annual ACT picnic as well as our next meeting on Tuesday July 9th. Please see below for some exciting upcoming events as well as information regarding our page:

AMPUTEES COMING TOGETHER 4TH ANNUAL POTLUCK PICNIC:
Saturday 6/22 at Kessler West Orange: Located on the Mercy Terrace. Picnic will take place 12-2 or 3. Rain or shine! If it rains, we'll hang inside and enjoy. Please feel free to bring a dish for everyone to enjoy as this is a potluck event!

CERTIFIED PEER VISITOR/MENTOR TRAINING:
Saturday 9/28 at Kessler in Saddle Brook. Please respond to this email if you are interested in becoming a peer visitor, certified through the Amputee Coalition. Cynthia Macaluso, a therapist at Saddle Brook, will contact you if you are interested. She provides training annually in September.

KESSLER GOLF EVENT
Wednesday 10/2. Preakness Valley Golf Course in Wayne. More information to come, but keep the date on your radar for now :)

Hi Everyone,

It was great to see those of you who came out to our ACT support group tonight. It was so fun to welcome some familiar faces of friends from the Walking School who came to join our group this evening :) It was an exciting meeting! We missed everyone who couldn't make it and hope to see you at our next meeting, Tuesday October 9th 6-7:30.

We wanted to reach out to the group to let everyone know about some local resources and exciting events coming up:

FUN EVENTS

-Kessler is hosting an Adapted Recreation Expo on Friday October 5th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kessler Conference Center. Please see attached flyer for further details.

-Kessler is hosting a Limb Loss Education Day Event, hosted at Kessler West Orange and presented by the Amputee Coalition. Members from the Saddle Brook Support group are also attending. It will be held on Saturday October 6th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kessler Conference Center. You and your family and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend! There will be education and discussion led by Amputee Coalition representatives and Yoga led by Karyn Baig. Please see the attachment for details.

-Amputee Walking School events: THIS Saturday September 15th at Atlantic Rehab in New Providence, Saturday October 6th in New Providence and Saturday November 3rd at Atlantic Rehab in Morristown. See the link below to register and learn more about the walking school:

-Kessler is sponsoring a Limb Loss Education Day Event, hosted at Kessler and presented by an Amputee Coalition Representative. Members from the Saddle Brook Support group are also attending! It will be held at Kessler in West Orange on Saturday October 6th from 9-3 in the Kessler Conference Center. You and your family and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend! There will be education and discussion led by an Amputee Coalition representative and Yoga led by Karyn Baig. More information to come regarding this event in the future.
