Graduates of our Rockland Project SEARCH program are all smiles as they celebrate their accomplishments. Ten students have been interning at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, where they’ve been learning all the essential skills needed to join the workforce after graduation. At the ceremony, each intern shares stories of their time with Project Search before receiving their certificate of completion. This program helps high school students in Rockland, Westchester and Orange County learn work and life skills by employing them within different departments at the hospital—everything from Same Day Surgery to Food Services - to help them become more independent.

Principal Jared Moran noted in his closing remarks that this group is only possible with the assistance of their instructors and the real-life healthcare superheroes they're surrounded by every day while working at Good Samaritan Hospital.

It’s all fun in the sun at our Rockland BOCES Lumina School at Viola’s annual field day! Students get their daily dose of exercise and laughter as they participate in a variety of outdoor games and activities.

Prideful cheers fill the air as we celebrate the graduates of our Rockland BOCES Practical Nursing (PN) Program. Donning their white uniforms, 23 students celebrate the completion of the program as they become our final LPN class, taking part in the traditional “pinning” ceremony as they pledge “to raise the standards and prestige of practical nursing.”

For 67 years, our Practical Nursing program has equipped students with the knowledge and clinical experience necessary to provide safe, compassionate and quality care in a variety of healthcare settings. We’re grateful to all the alumni of this prestigious program, including those in attendance tonight to see the final graduating class as we prepare to sunset the program this month. If you visit a medical office or hospital anywhere in the Lower Hudson Valley, the nurse tending to you very likely started their career here at Rockland BOCES just like the alumni in attendance.

It’s a beautiful day to celebrate seniors at our Rockland BOCES Jesse J. Kaplan School! Our class of 2026 takes a well-deserved break to enjoy music and the start of summer! Congratulations!

At Montebello Elementary, students in our Rockland BOCES District-Based classroom have fun in the sun at their annual Field Day! From tug-of-war to relay races, learners celebrate their accomplishments and laugh away the year’s stress.

Suffern Central SD

Tonight we celebrated our incredible Rockland BOCES Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) students who completed the rigorous requirements to graduate from our CTE program! We recognized 414 local high school students and celebrated those honored with various awards, who received more than $1.5 million in scholarships to colleges, universities, trade schools and the military.

Congratulations to the Rockland BOCES CTEC Class of 2026! We are so proud of all of you and can’t wait to see what you do in the future!

Rockland County Government

Family, friends, teachers and staff celebrate the accomplishments of our Rockland BOCES CABAS® students as they move on to the next grade. These young learners gather at the Tappan Zee Education Center to celebrate their growth, perform songs for their special guests and receive their certificates of completion.

At Rockland BOCES, we know that the best learning opportunities occur through hands-on experience in industry internships. Students in our Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) completed internships this quarter at Goosetown Communications, Schultz Ford, IMS Transportation, Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru and the Village of Hillburn!
