With heavy hearts we regret to report that founder Jesse Levine passed in 2023, and the decision has been made to permanently close the Norristown school. The school made a difference in the lives of Norristown music students, and we are confident they will enjoy great future success in whatever they pursue. Alex Levine School has donated our student guitars, guitar stools, and guitar stands to the Delco Rock School an excellent musical program.

Ariana Ramsey, mentor at the Alex Levine School of Guitar, has been pursuing a storybook Olympic journey as a member of the USA Women’s Rugby Team. We are happy to report that the USA Women’s Rugby team have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Tokyo Olympics with decisive victories over China and Japan. Even better, Ariana Ramsey scored her first Olympic goal courtesy of a generous assist from teammate Kristi Kirshe!

Alex Levine School of Guitar co-founder Jesse Levine stated:

We have known Ariana since she was a child and we are so proud of her. It was clear from a young age that she was very special. To be a small part of supporting her Olympic journey and watching her shine on the world stage is the thrill of a lifetime.

The Alex Levine School of Guitar offers youth guitar training at no charge to residents in Norristown. Founder Jesse Levine established the school in 2019, in tribute to his son Alex Levine.

Alex was a developing singer/songwriter and outstanding teacher who was deeply loved by his guitar students and their parents. Alex was lost in a tragic accident five years ago, but the legacy of his beautiful music and love for teaching guitar to children lives on at the Alex Levine School of Guitar.

Our Mission: To honor the legacy of Alex Levine by providing music education to the Norristown community.

Our Goal: To train a new generation of “living legends.”

Located in the Heart of Norristown: The Alex Levine School of Guitar is located at 133 E. Main Street in Norristown, PA.

Class Schedule: Classes currently meet on Tuesday’s at 4:30 PM under the guidance of veteran guitarist and instructor, Stephen Prontnicki.

Julianni and siblings share their thoughts about their recent experience recording at the studio.

Julianni (11): I really enjoyed the recording studio it was very fun. I would like to go again, then it would by my third time there. I like it because it is colorful and musical, and the guy who owns the studio is cool. He is very nice. The overall experience was very nice, and I have Mr. Jesse and Mr. Steven to thank, they are the ones who gave the great experience in the first place. I also love being there with my friends they make the trip even better.

Nikolas (7): I really enjoyed the recording studio it was fun. I love playing my guitar there. I also like it when the nice man that owned the studio played his piano. I would really like to go back!

Elijah (5): I like the colorful room that we got to play in. I also liked the piano. I liked playing the guitar and listening to our music when finished doing a song.
