The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to Monday, 11 March!
Current social work students are invited to submit abstracts for presentations on a social protection issue related to children. Potential topics include but are not limited to child labor, child marriage, FGM, gender equality, child migration, and violence against children.
If accepted, presentations will be given in Powerpoint or poster format at the Social Work Day Student Forum (Fordham University Lincoln Center; Sunday, 31st March, 1:00-5:00pm). This conference will bring students from around the country together to discuss social protection issues that impact children around the world.
Instructions for Submission:
Please submit a brief abstract (100-250 words) by 11th March, 2019 to [email protected]. In the body of the email, be sure to include your name, school, email address, and preferred presentation format (Powerpoint or poster).
Abstracts should include 1) Description of the social protection issue, 2) The population and region impacted, 3) Why it is important, 4) How it relates to the UN mission of promoting human rights, 5) What social workers can do to make a difference.
