Today we worked on staying on plane with the ball. ⚾️
Lately, this hitter has been dumping the barrel and trying to launch the ball instead of letting the swing work through the zone.
We isolated the issue and used our fork bat on the line to work on creating a more consistent barrel path. We know the swing path can and should adjust depending on pitch location—but the goal today was simple: find the barrel more consistently.
After working the drill, you could see it immediately start to show up in his swing.
That’s a big part of player development:
Don’t try to fix everything at once.
Identify an issue. Isolate it. Drill it. Then let the athlete compete.
More consistent path → more consistent barrel.
That was the goal today. 🎯
