Congratulations to Daniel, who studies piano via the Internet from Atlanta. Daniel took #2 in his division in Georgia in a Latin competition. We're hoping to solve a technical issue tomorrow at the recital site so everyone can see him play!

Steve took a bad fall after church on Sunday but he is home from the hospital now.

Another nice thing about online piano lessons - not affected by road conditions!

This is Mr. Steve with an update on Mrs. Kay and on piano lessons.

She had quite a battle with Covid and is still dealing with some residual effects (but she is NOT contagious anymore). Thanks for your thoughts, prayers, food, and encouragement. You have been fantastic!

Mrs. Kay plans to resume lessons, using the current schedule, starting Monday, the 18th. Since it is a school holiday, Monday students could have some flexibility for alternative times – you can work that out with Mrs. Kay.

With your indulgence, she would like to gradually begin makeup lessons, starting the week of the 25th.

If there is a hidden blessing to the Covid, it may be this: greater flexibility in studio lessons.

Some parents have told me that they have come to like the online lessons because it enables them to multitask. Instead of driving here, waiting during the lessons, and driving home, they can be cooking or doing other things.

Students and parents who prefer online lessons may certainly keep them. If they want an occasional studio lesson (with sufficient notice), that is OK, too. Those who want studio lessons can have them and, if circumstances come up (tight schedule, transportation, and so forth), an online lesson can be substituted for the studio.

Mrs. Kay has been missing her students SO MUCH! She is looking forward to seeing them and resuming their piano training.
