Community Impact in Action!

What an incredible day of service, partnership, and community pride! The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Omicron Iota Omega Chapter proudly joined forces with Ouachita Green for our Community Service Street Cleanup initiative.

Together, volunteers came out to help beautify Coleman Street and surrounding areas, demonstrating the power of collaboration and civic responsibility. Through teamwork, dedication, and a shared commitment to environmental stewardship, we removed litter, promoted community awareness, and helped create a cleaner, greener space for everyone to enjoy.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, community partners, and supporters who gave their time and energy to make this event a success. Your efforts remind us that lasting change begins when we all do our part.

A cleaner community starts with each of us.
Together, we are enhancing our environment, strengthening our neighborhoods, and making a positive impact for future generations.

It’s the first of June, and we are ready to, “Feed the Movement!”

This week, we are Wearing Pink, Spending Green, and Buying Black by intentional spending with Black-owned restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food trucks, and beverage brands.

Our collective goal is $8 million this month, and it starts with just $19.08. That’s one delicious meal, one specialty coffee, or one sweet treat. Let’s help “Build Our Economic Wealth,” one bite (or sip!) at a time.

Tag your favorite food or drink business below, and let’s celebrate together!🩷💚🖤

In 1983, eighteen visionary women in West Monroe, Louisiana dared to dream.

Known as 'The Jubilee Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, they gathered with one purpose, to serve their community. The Omicron Iota Omega Chapter was chartered on June 2, 1984.

Forty-two years later, that dream lives on, rooted in sisterhood, committed to scholarship, driven by service to all mankind, and stronger than ever.
