Eight shadows crossed the Erie sky today… and then touched down at Fundamentals Flight Training. 🇺🇸🚁

A caravan of 8 Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters stopped in for fuel and dinner on their journey south to Louisiana. Not your average traffic pattern!

Our students and staff got a front-row seat to some serious aviation horsepower, teamwork, and precision flying. Days like this remind us why there’s nothing like life at the airport.

Big congratulations to Jacob Eastbourn on passing his Instrument Rating checkride today! ✈️

This is a major milestone in the journey to becoming a professional pilot. Earning an instrument rating means Jacob is now equipped to safely navigate the skies in less-than-perfect weather, relying on precision, discipline, and skill.

One of our local schools is celebrating a fun dress-up week to get students excited and ready for PSSA testing, and today’s theme is Future Me!

We love seeing the big dreams our students have for themselves—especially when they aim high! Liam Romanosky, one of our campers who joins us every summer for aviation camp, showed up today dressed in his summer aviation camp gear as a future pilot 👨‍✈️

We were proud to host an AOPA Rusty Pilots Seminar at Fundamentals Flight Training this morning! ✈️

It was great to see so many pilots from around the region come together to refresh their knowledge, improve safety, and get back into the cockpit. Continuing education and proficiency are a huge part of aviation safety, and events like this make a real difference in our flying community.

We are very grateful to AOPA for bringing this seminar to Erie and for providing such high-quality training and resources to pilots across the country. We truly appreciate the time, effort, and professionalism that went into today’s presentation.

Thank you to everyone who attended — we love seeing the aviation community come together to learn and grow.
