West Mifflin Area School District will host Krise Transportation at three upcoming meetings:

• Thursday, Aug. 27, at West Mifflin Area Middle School
• Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Clara Barton Elementary School
• Wednesday, Sept. 2, at West Mifflin Area Middle School

Each meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. All K–12 families may attend any session to share their transportation questions and concerns.

Tables will be organized by grade level, allowing families to speak directly with a Krise representative. Representatives will listen, document each concern and work to provide assistance. Some concerns may require additional follow-up after the meeting.

Parents with concerns involving more than one grade level should visit one table, where all of their concerns can be documented. Krise may also provide a brief update to the full group at the end of each session.

All three meetings will follow this format to ensure families’ concerns are heard and documented in an organized and productive manner.

The West Mifflin Area High School Cross Country Team will host the T’s Trail Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. The boys’ varsity race begins at 9 AM, followed by the girls’ varsity race at 9:30 AM and the combined JV race at 10 AM. Teams can register through PA MileSplit.

TRANSPORTATION UPDATE

Several road issues are causing significant transportation delays this afternoon:

Lebanon Church Road is at a standstill due to construction

Homeville Road near Commonwealth Avenue is down to one lane due to a large hole in the road

Emergency responders are blocking the Eastman Street area near Homeville Elementary

Families should expect delays.

The District and Krise are actively addressing transportation concerns, including traffic delays along Lebanon Church Road.

It was great to have students back in the classroom Thursday and Friday! From plenty of smiles to students already focused and ready to learn, there was a lot of positive energy throughout our schools. Our teachers were just as excited to welcome everyone back and get the new year started.

The morning may have been foggy, but the Class of 2027 brought plenty of sunshine! Our seniors came together bright and early to celebrate the start of their final year as Titans.
