The TCA students and staff visited the Friends of the South Park Buffalo Preserve last week. We had the opportunity to watch them in their natural habitat and attended the biweekly public feeding time. Students were able to ask questions and "herd" lots of interesting facts about the buffalo. We also took a nature walk through the South Park Game Preserve and local trail, and followed it up with lunch at the nearby playground. This is always a great experience for our cyber students to get out into the real world and to interact with their peers in person. 🦬

Oos!! Congratulations to TCA student Sophia Soto, Grade 1! Based on her work and effort, she has been selected as “Student of the Month” for September! To honor her achievement, the TCA teachers made a special surprise visit to her house during the LIVE Titan News @9 and presented her with the Student of the Month Award and the famous “TCA Belt!” Great job Sophia, and keep up the awesome work!

TCA continued STREAMtember with a live stream of the September 11 Remembrance Ceremony from Clara Barton for all cyber students. Last week, the TCA staff hosted a Welcome Back picnic for all Titan Cyber Academy students and families at West Mifflin Community Park. Those who attended enjoyed in-person activities with a STEAMtember theme, lunch provided by the high school Titan Thyme Catering, and time with their peers. It was a a great day!

🎩 Last week at the Titan Cyber Academy — what a wacky sight!
With “March into Reading” magic and Dr. Seuss bright delight.
We wore hats tall as towers and socks wild and bright,
Learned of dear Seuss and his silly story writing might.
We zipped ’round the globe, Oh the Places we went,
Played Blooket galore — what a Seuss-y fun tournament!
And prizes went flying to winners so fine,
In a week full of wonder during the Titan News @9! 🎩
