EDITED: All the spots are now spoken for. If you want to get notified of future openings at the studio, please go to sarasmusicstudio.com and start your application for the waitlist :)

Fall semester is about to start, and I’ve got TWO open lesson spots at Sara's Music Studio in West Middlesex, PA.

Wednesdays at 3pm
Thursday at 5:30pm

These are the last spots available in the studio for the 2026-2027 school year.

Whooooo exactly do you work with, you might ask?

🎤 Voice Students:
High schoolers who are focused on improving their musical theatre chops, or wanting to hone their vocal skills for things like honors, district, regional, and state choir competitions.

Adults who want to perform in community theatre productions, want to hone their audition skills, or are looking for a non-work-related-hobby-that-makes-you-feel-super-good.

🎹 Piano Students:
Ages 8 and above. I'm not your standard method book / festival teacher. (Yes, I use *some* methods, but they're not 50 years old.) As a teacher, I emphasize learning through movement and gamification. And I specialize in working with students who want to learn non-classical music. (But if you wanna learn classical, we can do that too!)

If you're interested in starting the application process, shoot me a line and let's chat!

Yesterday a student told me that Google has it's own metronome. It's simple, but a great resource for students without an app. 🎹

When asked why he loves to play piano… one of the things Maddox said:

Because sometimes you find songs that you just “get.” They just make sense when you start playing them.

He totally gets this rendition of Lady Madonna by the Beatles!

Happy 8th Pianoversary, Maddox! Keep on rockin’ 🎹

We had a visitor romping outside the studio window while a mother daughter duo worked on the staging and vocals for a duet at an upcoming performance at ACTS Performing Arts Center -- so naturally we all got distracted and had to stop and take a photo! 🐰

Very excited for Susan and Miranda's duet in this show. It's SO hilarious! I don't wanna spoil the surprise, so I'll just say this: these two villainesses are gonna have you rolling with laughter 😘

First time in 17 years of teaching: I taught a Bob Dylan song to a piano student. So THAT'S what the vocal line sounds like!

Yesterday was our first day back to safe in-person lessons. (And yes, we'll be doing a combo of both in-person and virtual lessons!)

We've got our HEPA air filters in place, masking expectations set, and the studio has been totally rearranged to allow for social distancing. Clients may now choose to attend in-person lessons for the first time in over 15 months.

This was no small feat -- and I just wanna shout out to all the teachers out there who are navigating these changes: I feel you and see you.

Here's to doing our best, whatever that might look like for your studio. 💚

Love these!!!

Love these!!!

So much of singing is a mental game - not surprising given that our instrument is a physical part of us.

Some days, we struggle to let go of old beliefs and ideas.
Maybe you had a challenging onstage experience which comes back to bite you from time to time.
Maybe someone told you that you couldn't or shouldn't sing (how dare they 😡anyone who passes comment like that needs to be held to account for the damage they cause)

Don't let messages from the past take away from your love of singing. Make a list of affirmations to focus your intentions and redefine your singing "why".
