This is why we created a Self-directed middle school program that launches in the fall. Our kids need something drastically different than what our system is serving them. So we are creating it.

Our community is built like an extended family, with lots of opportunities to come together in multigenerational relationships.
From seasonal celebrations to research project showcases, the families and elders in our community are a regular part of our seasonal rhythm.
