Aw poor little Cheyenne got drunk at her vet visit today. I was really hoping for a "broken splint bone" diagnosis (horse people ARE weird), but she separated her periosteum from her cannon bone. Prognosis is (cautiously) good... But this is a new injury to me after more than 5 decades on this marble

Horse Show Update. It’s has recently come to our attention that some riders with long, braided or loc’d hair have felt pressured to fit all of their hair into their helmets for hunter and equitation events. We strongly believe riders should never have to choose between personal safety and a “show aesthetic.” MDT and MDT Events will always put the safety of our competitors first. Moving forward, should riders choose to wear their hair in a pony tail or braids they will not have points docked. Safety and inclusion are our number one priorities.

XC schooling today. Good people, good weather, and Juniper showed me I'm still sticky even at 51 - her anxiety gave me a workout! Looks like the water cooler gang is missing the printer and baseball bats, though. 😅
