Summer STEM Program is off to an amazing start!

Students jumped right into hands-on learning today by creating solar ovens and exploring the difference between solar thermal and solar photovoltaic energy. We will make s’mores in them as soon as the sun comes out! They also made oobleck and discovered that it is a non-Newtonian substance while learning about the science and discoveries of Isaac Newton.

We were also excited to have Ms. Karas from West Liberty University stop by to lead STEM challenges with our students. She emphasized the importance of communication, focus, and observation—skills that are essential for problem solving and innovation.
